Soap stars Corrie on visiting Yorkshire’s hair maestro

Word travels hair-raisingly fast on Britain’s most famous street – that’s Coronation, not Downing!

Another star has left the cobbles for some first rate treatment with Yorkshire’s premier hair extensions specialist Jayne Jackson.

Helen Flanagan & Jayne Jackson

Helen Flanagan, who plays Street vixen Rosie Webster, made a special trip to Jayne’s Studio in Graizelound, Doncaster, to have her tresses tended by the popular hair specialist.

Helen decided to make the 150-mile round trip from Manchester after being wowed by Jayne’s work on fellow Corrie star Michelle Keegan who visited Jayne in June.

And news about Jayne’s skills has been spreading so quickly on the Street that a raft of other celebrities are believed to be lining up to have their manes perfected by the super stylist.

‘Most of my clients have come to me through word of mouth,’ said Jayne.

‘So it’s good to know that some of soapland’s well-known faces are also recommending me.’

Jayne had the job of ensuring there would be no glitch in film continuity that would be obvious to viewers, so Helen’s extensions were added for thickness to create extra glam factor rather than to add length.

‘A lot of people are not perhaps aware that extensions don’t necessarily mean you have to go for longer locks,’ explained Jayne, ‘Extensions can be added to hair for thickness which is what I’ve done with Helen. Now her hair has that extra oomph-factor which she absolutely loves.’

Jayne Jackson’s 2010 hair predictions live on US TV!

HAIR expert Jayne Jackson has been back on US TV to give Americans advice for 2010.

Extensions maestro Jayne, who runs The Studio in Graizelound, made such an impact during her first US TV appearance last year, she was invited back.

Across the pond they now hang on her every word as she predicts the hottest styles for this year, and showcases her work.

The stylist-to-the-stars was guest of honour on breakfast chat show Studio 10 – a US version of This Morning – broadcast from Tampa, Florida. The show is a firm favourite with many of Hollywood’s most famous names, including actor Jeff Bridges and legendary supermodel Cindy Crawford.

Jayne, who is is fast becoming a recognised face in the States, said: “People stopped me in the street and said ‘hey you’re Jayne Jackson off the TV;’ it’s very strange, but lovely.”

Americans took Jayne to their hearts when she made headlines stateside last year with her credit-crunch busting Tupper-Hair brainwave – where women exchange redundant hair styling gear at home parties.

Now back on British soil, Jayne is working on a new project in the UK which is set to revolutionise hair care and educate women to new possibilities.

“I want to take hair care and the way women think about their hair to the next level,” she added.
